"I love exploring this great planet. I have always been fascinated by the great beauty around me and I have eagerly sought out how to replicate it. While talking to my good friend, Janice, I found a penny on the street and picked it up. She said, 'Oh! You've found some pony money.' She then relayed this fantastical story about her and her family's game to find discarded money called Pony Money in order to buy an equine. I urged her to write a children's story about it. She then commissioned me to illustrate it for her. I hope you enjoy this story as much as I did."

"I've lived in Bakersfield most of my life. Although I was never able to have a baby, I've taken all children under my wing. My most enjoyable times have been with my family and the little ones I love, like my stepgrandchildren. I enjoy teaching young people every day tasks like cooking, counting, cleaning and making games out of the ordinary things.

I believe, if at all possible as long as it depends upon you, you should always keep your word. So children shall know what to expect. "Yes" means yes and "No" means no, "Maybe" means maybe.

I had five horses as a youngster and rode them. Later, my husband and I had a horse for the kids. Abby and Garrett wanted us to get another pony when we had to retire our old, limping horse to a farm. Thus we started the Pony Money game to save up for another one. These were my husband's grandchildren but they were just as much mine as well. There were always our children and someone else's kids at our house and that is the way we liked it."
